There are three major means to get around the island of Tenerife, Spain; it could be by tram, by bus, or by taxi. By getting more details about these transports, you will not have a hard time exploring and enjoying the best of the island.
By tram
Tenerife’s tram service caters to those who want to get around the metropolitan area. A single ticket costs €1.30, while a roundtrip ticket costs €2.45. A monthly travel card worth €40.00 is also available for frequent travelers. Trams go around the area every 5-15 minutes from 6:00 a.m.-12:00 midnight on weekdays and every 10-30 minutes for 24 hours on weekends and holidays.
By bus
Buses are relatively cheaper than trams. Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife, S.A. or simply TITSA is a local bus company that offer regular service throughout the island. With over 600 vehicles, the company goes around Tenerife every 10-15 minutes on weekdays and every 15-20 minutes on Saturdays and holidays. Tickets are sold at €1.30 per trip.
By taxi
Getting around Tenerfie via a taxi cab is also a convenient, although a bit more expensive, option for tourists. Wherever you are in the island taxi cabs are always willing to accommodate you and take you wherever you want in Tenerife.
