Catching a good film in Tenerife, Spain that is in the English language used to be difficult before. However, with the addition of cinemas in Multicenes Gran Sur in Fañabé, which is in the southern part of the island, has made access to these films (for at least once a week) possible. To know if the film you are watching though is in English, you must take a look at its billboard displayed in or outside the cinema and shopping complex first. If the billboard shows the movie in the English, then it will be shown in its original version, if it is in Spanish (the main language of the island), then expect it to be in that language.
The Yelmo Complex which is located in La Villa Shopping Center in Orotava used to be the place for showing English-language films in Tenerife, unfortunately, the lack of movie goers resulted in to stopping it. With the number of tourists and people in Tenerife alike in the southern area, it is perceived that cinemas showing English language films will be well accepted and patronized.
Other cinemas in Tenerife include Cine Victor in Santa Cruz, which feature culture-related films in their original language, and the Multicines Zentral Center which is located in Playa de las Americas which occasionally show films in English language.
